What to do

The pleasure of Keswick is waiting just beyond our door!

Keswick [ pronounced ‘Kezik’ ] is a small town, but offers so much for you to do. It has been a market town since the 13th century and still has a market in the pedestrianised centre every Thursday and Saturday. Whether you want to browse the shops, have a coffee/tea or cold drink in the Market Square, visit the museums and galleries or cruise on Derwentwater, Keswick is a wonderful place for your holiday or short break.

If your desire is to absorb the spectacular, breathtaking scenery which surrounds this small market town on foot, there are innumerable walks starting right outside our front door! We have books, maps and a wealth of knowledge to help you plan your day. Should you wish to participate in guided walks www.pacethepeaks.co.uk and www.keswickrambles.org.uk can provide just what you need. If you prefer to be a little faster on your feet then mountain bikes and cycles are available for hire from www.KeswickBikes.co.uk We offer secure cycle storage should you wish to bring your own bike.
