Hearty English and vegetarian breakfasts are served in our light and airy dining room.
Four different flavours of fruit juice are offered for your enjoyment.
Our bacon is local pork from Blencow near Penrith and dry cured at Embleton. Our Cumberland sausages are locally made to an old recipe, as is our Black Pudding, which is deliciously moist! Our pork sausages are pure English pork, made locally.
For the vegetarians amongst you we offer only the finest quality vegetarian sausages. The eggs we use are supplied by Scales Farm in Embleton where they have only healthy and happy free range hens!
If you prefer fish to start your day we offer only the finest Scottish smoked salmon with scrambled eggs or maybe you would prefer kippers?
We happily cater for special diets with prior arrangement.
Fresh fruit salad, yoghurts, grapefruit segments and prunes, occasionally pastries and a wide variety of brand name cereals in individual cartons (no tupperware containers for us!) are provided in our cold buffet. Porridge oats are also offered for those who like a warm cereal in the morning!
Our cafetiers are filled with only the finest Fairtrade coffees; we have decaffeinated too. There is a choice of Ceylon, Earl Grey, fruit and herbal teas; decaffeinated tea is also available.
